iPhone Photographs in Chelsea

Lloyd March 21st, 2010

Last week I had a meeting at St Luke’s church in Chelsea with Erika Unbehaun of Flutterfly Events. Whilst I was there I grabbed a few photographs on my iPhone and afterwards strolled up the Kings Road to Peter Jones and along the way took a few more.

Here are a couple of the photographs from the church the first showing the imposing tower of St Luke’s and the second, Erika hard at work on her notes:

On the way to Sloane Square I passed one of my favourite roads in London, Royal Avenue, which runs off The Kings Road:

Finally, here is a photograph I took from the escalator in Peter Jones whilst heading up to the haberdashery department

iPhone App for the Wedding Planner

Lloyd January 11th, 2010

If you’re a wedding planner and you have an iPhone then this App is a ‘must have’.

wedding planner app

Wedding Dash is a great way to hone your planning skills whilst travelling in a taxi to the next wedding venue or bridal dress fitting. Since I downloaded it from iTunes I haven’t stopped playing with it and I’m not even a wedding planner!

By helping our put upon planner, Quinn, to organise her friends wedding and deal with the guests, you collect points which add up to, er, well, a lot of points.

I’m still learning using the ‘lite’ version but I have already got up to a score of 1200 which, according to the App, practically makes me a member of UKAWP!

Barca: Part I

Lloyd June 16th, 2009

A mid-week break in Barcelona is a great way to get ready for a very busy summer of weddings.
And it’s a great place to grab a few snaps on the iPhone and here are some from the first couple of days:

Wedding Photography in the South of France: Friday

Lloyd May 29th, 2009

This posting is a first for me in two ways. Previously I have always posted from the comfort of the PC in my office whereas this edition of the blog is being published via my iPhone.
Secondly, this is the first time I have written about the ‘day before’ a wedding but it has been a lot of fun today
I was greeted at Nice airport by the Bride & Groom, Jasmine and Cedric, and Cedric’s father, Roger.
We drove along the coast road to visit the fabulous venues for the wedding and along the way we collected the keyboard that the couple were hiring for one of their musicians to use at the reception.
I will post the full story with all the details and, no doubt, some gorgeous photographs, on Monday. Until then Here are a few shots I grabbed on the iPhone today:

I’ve been out playing with my camera phone again. For those of you with an iPhone I would recommend the Photogene and CameraBag Apps. They are both useful for processing the images.

I’ve been trying to achieve the Holy Grail of getting the iPhone to produce decent images. This selection were snapped in Hyde Park and, with a bit of post-processing, I think I’m starting to get good results.

I think it must be a bit like bringing up a child who’s not too bright; you learn to set the bar lower and appreciate the little victories…
