This weekend I was lucky enough to be photographing a wedding in Cornwall.

Jo and Ray live in Surrey but Jo’s family are dairy farmers based in Delabole near Camelford and it was in that area that the couple decided to marry.

Jo and her bridesmaids got ready at the family home whilst outside the Bradley Dairy carried on as usual.

The marriage ceremony was held at the parish church in St Teath which, according to the road sign, won Radio Cornwall’s ‘Most Caring Village’ award in 2006. And, as if to emphasise the point, many of the villagers turned out to see the arrival of the bride.

After the ceremony we had a half hour drive to the reception venue, the beautiful Bedruthen Steps hotel near Newquay. Before we got there however I had the opportunity to get some shots of the of Ray and Jo on the nearby beach.

The wedding breakfast including a sweet served with a generous scoop of Clotted Cream from the Bradley Dairy.

The newlyweds will shortly be departing on an extended honeymoon, taking in the Maldives, China and Australia, not returning until Christmas!
