The Bank Holiday weather defied tradition and London was bathed in warm sunshine for the marriage of Kathleen and Will. Perhaps this was the Capital’s way of trying to make Kathleen’s family feel at home as they had flown all the way from Texas to attend the wedding ceremony.
We met up at
The Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall where the Bride was getting ready along with her nine bridesmaids and her Mother Maureen. Her sisters helped to get into her gorgeous dress (designed by
Amsale in New York) and put on her veil in readyness for the short journey to the church.
Will, along with his Best Men and Ushers, was at the church, the beautiful
St James’s Piccadilly, and was greeting the guests ahead of the one o’clock ceremony.

After the ceremony we left the church and had quick stroll to St James’s Square where the Bride and Groom and their guests enjoyed some drinks and had some photographs taken before heading back to
The RAC Club for the wedding reception.
After the cake cutting and the very entertaining speeches the newly weds took the floor for their first dance which was to
Elton John’s ‘Your Song’.

Tara and Steve were married on Saturday at St Mary and All Saints church in Beaconsfield. The Crazy Bear restaurant and hotel was the venue for the wedding reception and it was also where the Bride prepared for the wedding ceremony.

It was just a short walk from the Crazy Bear to the church. The Father of the Bride walked her across at five to three and she was escorted on the return trip by her new husband.
The decor inside The Crazy Bear can only be described as Baroque meets Bordello and it has a really unique ambiance to it.
The newly weds are now in Thailand enjoying a well deserved honeymoon.

Last week I was invited by the team at
Bovingdons to look around their new venture,
Nonsuch Mansion.
Nonsuch Mansion is a Georgian building set in 300 acres of parkland near Cheam in Surrey. It is now in the final stages of renovation and the function rooms and hallways are looking amazing.

What I really like are the gorgeous wallpaper prints that they have managed to find. I feature a few here but I’m afraid the iPhone images don’t really do them justice. The décor throughout has a real feeling of luxury to it and althought the rooms are large and the ceilings high, the warm colour palette lends the interior a feeling of intimacy.

This doggy pattern is ‘flock’ wallpaper and the dogs have a velvety feel to them.
They are already taking bookings for 2009/10 and I look forward to photographing my first wedding at Nonsuch Mansion!

This wedding started with a ceremony in West London and then moved on to a reception in leafy Surrey.
Rachel and Mark were married at St Pauls church in Chiswick at 2.30pm. We were expecting the forecasted rain to be with us that point but, thankfully, it held off until later in the day. The wedding ceremomy was enlivened by the Elysian Choir who sang beautifully throughout but really sent shivers down the spine with a rendition of Handel’s Zadock the Priest whilst the marriage register was being signed.
After the ceremony the Bride and Groom were whisked away in a Rolls Royce Phantom with the guests enjoying a glass of Champagne on there journey aboard a red Routemaster bus.
The wedding reception was held at the 16th century Great Fosters Hotel near Egham. As refreshements were served I managed to get some time to photograph the newley-weds around the grounds. Rachel was wearing a stunning dress designed by Caroline Castigliano and it was complimented by a beautiful bouquet from the very creative team at Euphoric Flowers.
Euphoric also supplied all the floristry inside the Tithe Barn which is where the wedding breakfast was served. The room looked amazing and no little credit should go to Kelly and her team at the Bespoke Wedding Company who coordinated the whole day.
